Usually, only the long wool from the back is used. The wool from the belly and head is shorter and dirtier, often discarded or processed into lower-quality products. A shame, because at about 19.5 microns, this wool is just as fine as the rest of the fleece.\u003cbr\u003eWe carefully sort the shorter merino fibers and blend them with more voluminous Dutch wool. This gives this valuable wool a wonderful purpose.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSoft, but with spirit\u003cbr\u003eTrix has the softness of merino, but with a little extra body. The wool blend makes the yarn wonderfully full and helps your knitting hold its shape beautifully. Great for a sweater or cardigan you want to snuggle into, but also for a cushion, throw, or warm blanket.
