A micron is the thickness of a single wool fiber: one thousandth of a millimeter. The more twist, the more compact and firm the thread. This yarn has no twist. As a result, the fibers lie loosely, the thread retains air, and it feels softer than a tightly twisted thread of the same wool.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eThe fiber itself does not change. This yarn remains firmer than yarn made from merino wool. You will notice that against a bare neck.
